ABOUT THE ARTIST:
I know little about F*E* TAYLOR except that he is recorded as exhibiting at The Royal Academy in 1908 when his address was 10 Cobham Rd., Kingston Hill, Surrey.
I acquired a large collection of his watercolours dating from 1935 to 1946 during which time he produced paintings of The Italian Alps, Switzerland, North Wales, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cornwall, Devon, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Worcestershire. Judging only by the number of paintings from the different areas, I conclude that he lived in Buckinghamshire and possibly near High Wickham.

THE STORY:
Gerddi Bluog is a megalithic site of unenclosed round houses. The link below will take you to a page showing images of lots of megalithic sites in the area:

This must be where Serenigs, our local version of Asterix must have lived. His menhir courier mate Obelix may have been known as Obeligs and his trusty hound Edifix could have been called Adeiladigs. Now, Getafix the Druid is a different matter. He was the person responsible for preparing what the people of Brittany refer to, I am reliably informed, as de l’eau chaud, a reference to our preference for warm beer. As a result, I imagine he must have been referred to as Mŵs Piws, Purple Moose, our local brewer of special beers in Porthmadog, just a little way further north:

On the basis of all druidic and folk medicines, you can’t knock it until you have tried it.
